Outreach & Teaching

Since 2022 I created multiple programs at the University of Minnesota's Urban Outreach and Engagement Center. In 2024, I partnered with local organizations to distribute over 1,300 computers to families across Minneapolis and developed more than 950 computer science educational games, working with schools throughout the Minnesota metro and in five countries - including support for ASL.

Each one of these programs was designed to complement, and work with, the other programs.

Northside Summer Internship Program

A student-centered internship program that provided North Minneapolis high school students with hands-on IT and research experience. Beyond technical skills, the program included life skills workshops, addressing food and housing insecurities, and offering mentorship to support students' holistic development.

K-12 STEM Education

Teaching foundational tech concepts using interactive tools like card and video games. Since 2023, over 950 card games have been distributed across the U.S. and internationally, to middle and high school students to explore technology in engaging ways.

Computer Outreach Program

Addressing the digital divide in Minneapolis, this program provided over 1,300 computers in 2024, thanks to strategic partnerships with Free Geek and Hennepin County. It included a computer lending library and personalized training for recipients, ensuring sustained impact.

Computer Education for
Seniors (and Everyone)

Twice-weekly, community-based classes provide accessible computer education for seniors, individuals with disabilities, and anyone looking to build digital confidence. With youth serving as teaching assistants, each class becomes an opportunity for intergenerational learning, connection, and empowerment.
